Growing Report

All the plants are growing rather nicely.. i can see on the tomato plant some little green round things coming.. makes me very excited! I cant believe how cute this is. The summer squash also has some thing happening that i'm not so sure.. i'm assuming its squash that are to come... the corn are getting taller and taller and i'm not sure how tall they get before anything actually starts producing..

In just a week

I cant believe how my little garden inches are growing so fast... you can clearly see that in just a week things move very fast in the almost summer... we are still supposed to have yet another cold snap.. but i hear thats it...

this is the other half
other half of garden

Corn

Now these look like something is happening... i have 3 more that looks exactly the same.. i am assuming they need to get taller before any corn will come of this...

Tomatoes

this one is starting to get some height.. no sign on tomatoes.. but lets see...

Carrots

they are growing and growing more each day.. i have to look up and see how would i know when they are done.. because i have no clue! lol

STRAWBERRY!

This is how the strawberries are doing... no sign of any fruit coming.. but i cross my fingers (and toes) that some will start to come out... the kids are very excited about this one...
So a week ago i planted a few more things..
In this cute little box we have corn, onions, pumpkins and watermelon..
I cant wait for this one to start to get bigger so i can move them to a more permanent location..

No updates

So... i went to the store (Walmart) and got a few more seeds... i still want to go to Home Depot and get at least a couple of their trees... They have a few there that i really want.. like the avocado and the grapes... i wouldnt mind getting a couple of the citrus ones either =)
The plants i did plant though are still the same... i had 2 corn one not survive the cold snap we just had.. so now i'm down to 3 corns... so with the new seeds i got i will replace them and get more going (hopefully)..

Planting seeds...

So yesterday i decided to plant some new seeds because some of my plants did not flourish how i wanted it. After reading a new book yesterday i think the problem was that i transported a little too early for its own good.
Well, we all make mistakes and this being my first time planting veggies i knew i was bound to make a few along the way.. so far this is my first set back..

will upload pics a little later =)

New New

So today after i was randomly looking at walmart for ideas of how to better succeed at my garden.. i couldn't help but grab a couple of the plants that failed on me... or i failed to take care of... which ever... but i put down the vegetable food and i'm going to find a cover to put to block some of the sun because as you can see my strawberries are being burnt! So before this gets out of hand i'm going to take care of the issue..

I also looked at some fruit trees earlier today with hubby and i really want grapes... i want it.. like yesterday.. they have all kinds of fruit trees but the ones that caught my attention were the grapes (duh lol), nectarine (different variety of this one), avocado, cherry, almond, fig, peaches... so... since i'm new..i'm not going to expect to get them all.. even though i'd like to.. i dont have the space to put them in my yard.. but i really want the grape ones and the avocado... next year i'd invest on another flavor =)

Hello

This is how the plants looked like when i first put them on pots a few weeks ago... now it seems like things aren't going as well, 've water them but i have not given them any food because i wasnt aware that i had to.. So hubby and I went to the store and found some that i can give my plants...

This is very new to me and the more i read online the more i want to succeed ... I would love to get any feed back from anyone.. We are zone 9 ( i think ) and i live in high desert in California.. so there you go... help me! =)
